The one rule

Everyone leaves our spaces — the venue, the WhatsApp group, this site — having been treated with respect. Students and first-timers especially.

What that means in practice

• No harassment, in any form, of anyone. No exceptions for being brilliant.
• No discrimination — gender, tribe, language, religion, background, skill level.
• Questions are welcome. "That's a basic question" is not something we say.
• Credit people's work. Especially students' work.
• At events: follow the volunteers' instructions — they're running the day for free.

If something happens

Tell any core team member or volunteer on the day — they're the ones with badges and slightly tired eyes — or write to meg.devconnect@gmail.com. Reports are handled discreetly by the core team. We have removed people before and will again; the community matters more than any individual's attendance.

Scope

This applies at every MDC event and in every MDC space online, including this platform's member directory and communications.
